For bonding Würth EPDM sealing tapes to window and door reveals and to other construction surfaces. Can also be used on uneven reveal surfaces.
The application surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease. For pre-treatment, refer to the technical data sheet.
Apply the EPDM sealing tape adhesive to the surface and wipe it off with a toothed spatula. Depending on the film width, the adhesive width should be a minimum of 40 mm on the building and a minimum of 30 mm on the element, with a thickness of 1 mm in each case. Pay attention to the planning specifications if a full-surface bond is required. With film overlaps, maintain an overlap length of at least 10 cm.
Glue the EPDM tape to the surface and press it on lightly using a press-on roller, while ensuring tension-free installation and the formation of a movement loop. After pressing on the film, the bonding gap should have a layer thickness of min. 1 mm and be completely filled with adhesive, without air pockets. The tape can be adjusted up to 30 minutes after bonding.
