Mega polyurethane gun-grade foam is a polyurethane material intended for filling and sealing. Increased expansion is obtained due to the process of a reactive liquid mixture foaming and curing as it interacts with moisture in the air.
- For installing and sealing wooden, plastic and metal door and window frames and other structures
- Insulation for hot water pipes, bath tubs, hot water tanks and cooling equipment
- For sealing joints, cracks and holes which are impossible to fill with other sealing materials, as well as openings for water, heating and gas pipes and wiring
- For chinking log structures
Store in a ventilated, cool, dry place at temperatures of between +5°C and +25°C. The guaranteed effectiveness of the product is within 12 months of manufacture.
Datasheets(X)
- Clean any dust, grease and other dirt from the surface. Before applying the foam, the surface may be wet but not frosted or iced.
- The temperature of the bottle before application should be between +15°C and +20°C. Shake the contents of the bottle vigorously for one minute. The minimum ambient temperature for application is +5°C. When working in temperatures higher than the optimal temperature (+20°C) the difference between the temperature of the bottle content and the ambient temperature should not exceed 5°C.
- Screw the bottle onto the application gun. The working position of the bottle is upside down. The amount of foam released is controlled by pressing the trigger of the application gun. The quality and volume of hardened foam depends on the relative air humidity. We recommend using a spray bottle filled with water to moisten the space to be filled. If the average size of the gap is more than 5 cm, fill only part of the space; the layer thickness should be max. 2 cm. Moisten the freshly applied foam and continue to layer the foam until the space is filled. The foam expands as it cures, meaning only 1/3 of the space should be filled initially. If the relative air humidity is less than 35%, add large amounts of moisture to the foam.
- Hardened foam can be cut using a cutter. The surface must be protected against prolonged exposure to UV radiation.
- Fresh foam can be removed using a PU cleaner. Cured foam can only be removed using mechanical aids. Immediately after application, i.e. after unscrewing the bottle from the application gun, the application gun should be cleaned using a PU cleaner.
