Notice
- Curing is delayed at low humidity and low temperatures
- The sealing film must not be used as a surface adhesive
- The sealant can be painted over with water-based paints
- Due to the large number of varnish and glazing formulations, always carry out your own tests on the area first, especially on alkyd resin paints and powder-coated aluminium
- Avoid contact with PE, PP, silicone, butyl rubber, neoprene, EPDM and surfaces containing bitumen and tar
Application area
- For coating over joints and leaks
- For sealing connection joints to construction elements
Instructions
- The surface must be load-bearing, clean, dry and free from loose parts, grease, rust and water
- To optimise the adhesion of plaster with the sealant, it is recommended to insert/press a fibre glass joint cover strip or fibre glass pad onto the sealant while it is still working
- Pre-clean surface with IPA cleaner (art. no. 0893223500). Surfaces such as masonry must be pre-treated with Adhesion Plus for plastic/wood/stone
- Apply sealant to joints to be sealed and spread using a flat brush. The sealant must be spread at least 10 mm over both sides. The layer should be approx. 3 mm thick
- The sealing film should be covered at the latest after three months
- No primer is required for surfaces made of iron, aluminium, copper, brass, GFRP, polycarbonate, spruce and oak
- The Surface bonding agent Primer for Plastic/Wood/Stone must be used for surfaces made of hard PVC, ABS, EPS, concrete, clay brick and PMMA
- The Surface bonding agent Primer for Metal must be used for surfaces made of stainless steel
