Operating principle of the locking ribs:
During tightening, the locking ribs ensure that the counter-material wraps around the contact surface of the bolt. This causes plastic deformation, which hardens the surface. No significant settlement occurs once tightening is complete. The locking ribs limit the settlement of the fitting, thus reducing the loss of pre-stress force.
